Panasonic Close Curves
After the battery of my old electric razor died, I gave up electric shaving and went back to manual shaving. While it gave me a much closer shaver that my previous electric razor, boy! I realized how I just hated shaving in the shower with a manual razor. First of all, I live in basement and have only the shower stall, not the full tub, which makes very makes shaving with shaving cream/gel very awkward. And shaving is very important to me since I just love wearing skirts and shorts. So I went and looked for a new electric shaver.
So I went online and starting comparing models. Price did not matter as I figured that this would be an investment that would last me many years. All I needed was something quick that could be used out and in the shaver. And then, I came across the Panasonic Close Curves Wet/Dry Ladies Shaver. This model seemed very promising. First it got fairly good reviews compared to many other women's electric shavers. Then it has bikini attachment (which was not features on my previous electric shaver) and a pivoting head, to make shaving of areas more difficult to access easier.
So I ordered it from Amazon, and after a few tries, here I am reviewing it. First, you have to remember that an electric shaver won't give you the same quality of shaving than a manual razor. This said, if this is not a problem with you (hasn't been with me or my boyfriend for many years!), the Panasonic Close Curve is with no doubt a GREAT invention for hairy women. First, it shaves MUCH closer than my previous electric shaver and offers a good performance. It is easy and quick to use. You can use it both dry or wet, which I do. There was no irritation after shaving and the bikini attachment is a superb feature!!
There are some cons, minor mind you. First, if you are using your electric shaver in the shower, the shaver becomes a little bit slippery, making hard to switch the on and off button. Also, the bikini trimmer can clog if you are going to fast when your hair is wet.
But other than that, this little baby has more than exceeded my expectations.
So in summary:
- ease of use : 4.5/5
- noise : 4.5/5
- shaving 4/5
- bikini trimmer 4.5/5
- overall rating 4.5/5
The Panasonic Close Curves Wet/Dry Ladies Shaver is the real deal!

Manual shaving vs electric shaving
Manual shaving vs electric shaving. If you are wondering whether to go manual or electric, this can help.
Why women use a manual shaver
Some people prefer manual shaving because they believe it does a better job than what an electric shaver would do, which can be true if you purchase a bad women's electric shaver. Other find that manual razors are less expensive than electric shavers. Finally, some women simply like taking a bath, and find it just more practical to use a manual shaver.
Why women use an electric shaver
Some people prefer to use an electric shaver, because they are so convenient to use, can be used anywhere, anytime, on vacation like at home. Others like the fact that there are less chances to get a cut when using an electric shaver. Also, many women like the fact that they notice less ingrown hair when using an electric shaver.
On the long run, whichever you decide to use is a personal choice. Personally, I like waxing for special occasions, a manual shaver when I am feeling relaxed and need a good bath, an an electric shavers for the everyday quick leg and underarm shaving.

Electric shavers for women : tips
A few tips from the hat. When you are looking for a women's electric shaver, choose one that have a self-cleaning head. It'll make your life easier as you won't have to remove the cover of the electric shaver after each shave. Remember that you have to clean the head after each shaving to prevent infection. When you are going away, remember to bring new batteries or the charging cord. Shaving with an electrich shaver isn't painful, unless the blades move too slowly, which happens when your electric shaver runs out of power.
Why choose a women's electric shavers
To have a good shave, you need to start with a good tool. And a women's electric shaver is probably one of the most convenient tool a women can have. A women's electric shaver will give you smooth legs, underarms and even bikini. They might now shave as close a a razor, or won't leave your legs smooth as long as waxing would, but it certainly will make your life simpler, and make this task much faster and more enjoyable. Women's electric shavers are extremely convenient if you are sleeping over at your in-laws place or if you are going away for vacation and don't have the time and the right facilities to shave manually or to wax.
Shaving vs Waxing
As swimsuit season is approaching, unwanted hair is one of the biggest worry of a ladie's agenda. To get rid of those unwanted hair, women have been either shaving or waxing, whether it is on the legs, armpits and bikini for a smoother skin. To wax or to shave is a personal choice. Waxing has the advantages of lasting longer, but can be more painful and expensive. The advantages of shaving are that is this quite inexpensive, is not painful, but hair will grow back faster and coarser... These are all good reasons to choose one over the other. In the end, there is no good answer and it is a personal choice.
